Job Summary:

This position will assist Center Directors by providing clerical support for Center for Workforce Transition and Lifelong Learning & Centralized Services. Provide support with course development, research for departmental special topics of interest, and marketing of division courses. Assist with the scheduling of non-credit CWT classes offered at CAMW and other off-campus locations. Provide back-up support to CEWD Division Departments and continuous improvement data management. This position supports the Project Management Team members and serves as back-up to maintain a consistent and high quality work flow.

Assists as the Delivery Logistics support for Salesforce Reports and Open Enrollment for Aceware data reporting. Responsible for the Center for Workforce Transition data collection and maintenance. Provide facilities-related support such as cleaning classrooms, whiteboards and commons area, setting up classroom furniture according to instructor specifications, delivering and setting up portable computer units in classrooms, troubleshooting and reporting technology issues, and maintaining and organizing literature racks. Assist with the hiring and training of student employees and provide oversight and delegation of work tasks as needed. Provide student support such as scheduling appointments, assisting students with the admissions process registering students for credit and non-credit courses in Banner, and assisting with Financial Aid applications and administer placement test. Schedule appointments for advisors at Capital Area Michigan Works (CAMW!) using Advisor Trac and assisting job seekers with employment assistance (resume, job applications, job leads, etc.)

This position will be located at Capital Area Michigan Works for 25 hours a week.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Customer Service experience
• Written and oral communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Demonstrated understanding of working with computer technology and media equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with website maintenance
• Experience with PowerPoint
