Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Transportation & Fleet Coordinator is to ensure that the college’s transportation and fleet operations maintain alignment with the organizations strategic initiatives related to Resource Management and Fiscal Responsibility. The coordinator will assist with maintaining the fleet budget, college Fleet fuel card system, titles for all college fleet, and the chargeback funds of approximately $350,000 for chartered ground transportation. In addition, they will manage fleet purchasing chargeback fund that is used to maintain and purchase fleet vehicles. The coordinator will research college Fleet value (Insurance) annually $7 Million in replacement value (Vehicles only) for market value price and outfitting vehicles. The coordinator will create, maintain and administer contingency plans for all college-wide fleet purchases, maintenance schedules, repairs, and disposals of associated equipment. The coordinator will manage database records verified through the MI SOS (Fleet vehicle use only) and will continually develop and maintain a Fleet Replacement Program that spreads the cost of equipment disposal and procurement over time. They will establish, coordinate and execute procedures with contingency plans for vehicle mechanical failures, accidents, and weather. The coordinator will provide leadership for the college-wide fleet of 221 plus pieces of equipment that are used by college employees throughout 24 different departments across the college for various athletic, academic and student events. The coordinator will also create and manage a Fleet Telematics program, maintain training, keep record keeping for fleet as required by State of Michigan or department management. The coordinator will supervise a part-time Fleet support position. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Auxiliary Services.

Required Qualifications:
Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education/training and experience required
Demonstrated experience with transportation/fleet services or related field required
Demonstrated project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience managing a budget
Prior supervisory experience
