Job Summary:
The Learning Commons Service Coordinator will stand-in as the Administrator-In-Charge and serve as the backup to the Academic Resource Services Coordinator of the department, available to work a varied schedule to meet student academic service demands, including nights and weekends. The Service Coordinator will be scheduled 1,040 hours per year. Assignments will be scheduled up to 30 hours per week for approximately 37 weeks primarily evening and weekend hours during Fall and Spring semesters (August through May).
Primary responsibilities to coordinate and oversee the Learning Commons to provide and monitor delivery of excellent customer service for students to access the academic resources and learning assistance of the Department to support student success.
Manage and supervise Student Employee - Learning Assistants assigned to the Learning Commons Help Zone, Learning Studios, and other assignments of the department. Indirect supervision of Professional Tutors and other staff of the department.
Develop, implement, and maintain processes to schedule and track student appointments for academic support and learning assistance of the Department.
Manage, procure and track the various academic resources required for students, the department faculty and staff

Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
Experience in a management or supervisory role.
Customer service experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite software.
Available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
Experience working in a college, university educational institution or learning center.
Experience using college software such as Banner, D2L, and Argos.
Experience with purchasing and/or grants
Experience with project management.
Understanding of Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems.
