This position is responsible for the daily operation of the welding lab including but not limited to: Material handling, purchasing and maintaining welding lab consumables and supplies, equipment oversight and maintenance. This position is also responsible for the annual equipment change out, maintaining vendor relations, ventilation filter maintenance, organizing and maintaining cold storage, manifold room safety and oversight, event coordination, staying up to date on the latest industry equipment, and the direction & leadership of the PT Lab Assistant and student employees. This position also works with students on a group and one-on-one basis during their class lab time to help students properly operate welding equipment, provide additional instruction on proper welds and safety, and help students gain a better understanding of industry standards in welding.
Associate’s Degree in Welding Technology or an industrial trade related area
Relevant Manufacturing Industry experience
Successful experience working with students in an education or training environment
Successful experience with Lincoln Electric VRTEX360 equipment
Fork Truck License/Training Certification
