Job Summary:
***This position requires an on-campus presence and traditional in-person teaching. The on campus commitment will match the MAHE labor contract of 2-3 days per week.***
Teach courses in Nursing, including pathophysiology and Medical-Surgical Nursing, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Faculty must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
An on-campus presence and traditional in-person teaching is required. Depending upon program needs and the candidate’s qualifications, teaching assignments will be primarily on LCC’s downtown Lansing campus with the possibility of other campus and/or online assignments.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited college or university.
Demonstrated clinical nursing experience.
Significant teaching experience at the college level in nursing theory, lab, or clinical.
Current unrestricted State of Michigan Registered Nurse License; must be maintained for the duration of employment.
Current BLS Certification; must be maintained for the duration of employment.
Demonstrated experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pathophysiology, Patient-Centered Care theories, and/or related subject.

Preferred Qualifications:
MSN Nursing education track
Three years of teaching experience at the college level in nursing theory, lab, or clinical
Specialty nursing certification
Experience with simulation utilizing high-fidelity nursing education
Online teaching experience or Michigan Virtual University certification or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including email and electronic calendars
Demonstrated analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including online strategies
