Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer provides creative direction and expertise to all tasks and/or projects within the Marketing and Communications Department under the scope of established Brand Standards with a focus on support of institutional vision and goals. Graphic Designer produces high-quality designs across all mediums – print, outdoor, promotional, direct mail, email, social, web-based, motion/animated, etc. – in support of recruitment, retention, revenue generation, fundraising, public relations and brand awareness. Duties also include general understanding and application of marketing principles and writing and editing, from general ad copy to storyboarding for video and/or infographics. This position works collaboratively within the Marketing Department, as well as with stakeholders and vendors both within and external to the institution. The Graphic Designer reports to the Marketing Manager.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field; OR Associate Degree in Graphic Design or related field and one year of professional experience in graphic design; OR three years of progressive professional experience in graphic design
Demonstrated skills working with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply general marketing and communications principles

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premier and After Effects Understanding of advanced marketing and communications principles
