Job Summary:

This is a high-level executive assistant position that reports to executive leadership. This position, coordinates, oversees, and/or performs a wide variety of activities in assisting a member of the Executive Leadership Team. This position reports to the Executive Leadership Team Member - Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) and will provide executive support for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) collegewide initiatives. Serves as the point of access to the Executive. Incumbent must have a keen understanding of Executive’s goals, philosophy, divisional policies and strategy in order to effectively act as a liaison on behalf of the Executive with both external and internal contacts. This position also serves a vital role in managing the Divisional office operations and works in close collaboration with others to execute the goals of the Division and the College. Must exercise good judgment, work independently, and demonstrate excellent communication and organization skills. Working closely with the CDO daily, this position will coordinate and co-manage all meetings, communications, and tasks, and provide supervision of student employees while helping to lead designated DEI programming as directed by the CDO. Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills are a must. The ideal candidate must have experience in DEI initiatives and a demonstrable track record of success in supporting an executive leadership experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment! This position will require the candidate to have the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and tact with an extreme sense of urgency and proficiency. Further, the ideal candidate must be able to handle sensitive and confidential matters with unwavering integrity and demonstrate ethics at all times. This position will serve as a frontline ambassador for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion that creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. This position provides a high level of budgetary management including strategic plan budgeting for the college as it relates to DEI efforts and oversees the job hiring processes for the division’s main areas and projects areas. Assists in the accomplishment and implementation of college goals and initiatives. Provides and maintains collaborative relationships with divisions, departments and other stakeholders. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated progressively responsible administrative or executive support experience.

Demonstrated experience using a wide array of technology for office administration.

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated progressive leadership and/or administrative responsibilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of DEI concepts and issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in educational institutions.

Knowledge and experience with Banner (student and employee), D2L, and Argos.

Knowledge of current guidelines for accessibility of instructional and non-instructional materials
