Job Summary:

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy.  Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

The Computer Information Technologies Program (CIT) is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach cybersecurity, cloud, and computer support courses. These courses could include, but are not limited to, Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and AWS Cloud certifications consistent with current developments and teaching methods in the discipline. Additional responsibilities may include participation in course assessment, department/program meetings, professional development activities, and meeting all responsibilities/requirements as required for part-time faculty. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Course may be taught in-person, online/virtually, or a hybrid of both.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years’ experience in related field; OR Associate's Degree and minimum 4 years’ experience in related field

Have one or more of the following certifications: A+, Security+, CCNA, or Network+

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or willingness and ability to acquire said certification upon being hired.

CompTIA Security + Certification or willingness and ability to acquire said certification upon being hired.

Familiarity with digital forensics

Involvement and familiarity with Centers for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cybersecurity designation or other nationally recognized college Cybersecurity training organizations

Two years’ experience teaching in higher education or experience in the business field
as a trainer
