Job Summary:

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy.  Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

Selected faculty members will be responsible for instruction of classes in the Criminal Justice program and will be able to teach courses in the Law Enforcement Track, Juvenile Justice track, and or the Adult Corrections Track. Classes could include entry level courses such as Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Juvenile Justice, or Introduction to Corrections. Courses could also include second year classes to include Criminal Investigations, Report Writing, or working with students to complete Internships, to name a few.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or in a related/relevant field.

Five (5) years minimum experience in the professional field

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice of in a related/relevant field.

Juris Doctorate Degree with good standing with the Michigan Bar Association.

Ten (10) plus years as an MCOLES certified Law Enforcement Officer with Command experience
