Job Summary:

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy.  Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

This faculty member will be responsible for the instruction of Robotics, Programmable Logic Controller, and Mechatronics classes. The individual should have experience in troubleshooting automated systems and be able to develop classroom materials that utilize best practices and web technologies to deliver instruction. The ideal candidate will have current, relevant industry experience and understand the changing direction of automated technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following skill sets:

• AC/DC Electrical Theory
• Sensor Technology
• Solid State Electrical Troubleshooting
• Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
• Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers
• Motor Operation, Control and Troubleshooting
• Fanuc Robot Programming
• ABB Robot Programming
• Electro-pneumatics and Electro-hydraulics
• Control System Architecture
• Mechanical Systems (Belt, Chain, Gear Drives)
• Preventative and Predictive Maintenance

This opportunity is for daytime and evening teaching.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Technologies/related degree and two (2) years minimum recent, relevant work experience, OR Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technologies/related degree and four (4) years minimum recent, relevant work experience, OR Journey status in a manufacturing trade and four (4) years minimum recent, relevant work experience, OR High School Diploma and eight (8) years minimum recent, relevant documented work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Instructional teaching experience in secondary and/or post/secondary education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related field

Experience in industrial Robotic programming

Experience in Programmable Logic Controller programming
