Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.
Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach in Theatre. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and actively participate in College initiatives. Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college, and implement the determinations of those initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
MFA or Master's degree in Theater (from a regionally accredited college or university); or, Master’s Degree in a closely-related field (from a regionally accredited college or university) and a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in Theatre with emphasis in acting and/or directing.
Alternative Qualification: 10 or more years working or training in Acting or Directing at the professional, college/university or conservatory level. Experience must show peer review of colleagues at the college/university or professional level.
