This position reports to the Centre for Engaged Inclusion (CEI) Coordinator and is responsible for supporting the development of anti-bias, anti-racism, and inclusiveness trainings across the campus. This position will work closely with the CEI coordinator to engage faculty and staff in events related to DEI within the organization and support the growth of a diverse and inclusive campus. This position will participate in the organization and planning of activities designed to support initiatives to diversify, improve, and increase global and cultural competence within the campus community. This position will provide assistance to the CEI Coordinator with implementing DEI projects, policies, and practices across campus. Additionally, the position will be responsible for maintaining a robust resource library to support our faculty and staff in self-guided learning related to DEI topics.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Relevant college education and/or relevant experience in diversity, equity and inclusion programming.
Demonstrated experience in conducting educational trainings, workshops and student programming or in a progressively responsible position in a similar field.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated effective public speaking experience.
Knowledge of evaluating data and program effectiveness and implementing necessary changes.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse students or populations to achieve problem resolution and enhance customer service.
Bi-or multilingual skills
Experience as a trainer in diversity, equity and inclusion
Ability to work in teams or independently
Ability to effectively interact with multiple cultures, identities and generations.
