Job Summary:

The Administrative Services Division Systems Specialist reports to the Administrative Services Executive Director and provides technical support for Administrative Services management information systems (MIS), information technology infrastructure, building control systems (e.g., energy management, HVAC, lighting, and fire), the public safety radio communications system, mass alert communications, access controls systems, and camera control systems. This position requires an elevated level of analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

The Systems Specialist will work closely with the Executive Director for Administrative Services and works collaboratively in support of division departments systems including Facilities, Police Department, Auxiliary Services, Occupational & Environmental Safety, and Emergency Management.

The Systems Specialist position requires an on-campus, in-person presence.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated work experience with information technology infrastructure, management information systems (MIS) – building control (e.g., energy management, HVAC, lighting, and fire/life safety), access control systems, camera systems, mass notification systems, OR public safety radio communication systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with specific MIS such as ChargePoint-EVSE, critical communications systems such as RAVE Alert, Siemen’s building control & fire systems, Michigan Public Safety Communications (radio frequency – RF) System (MPSCS), or security systems such as -Traka key management, - cameras, and -card access (i.e., Lenel OnGuard).

Demonstrated experience with project management principles, data analysis, and report writing.

Experience working on a college or university campus.
