Job Summary:
Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.
The Job Training Center is currently seeking Adjunct Faculty to develop and teach non-credit courses in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). This position is offered on an upon demand and as needed basis. This includes general ESOL English instruction, as well as career specific ESOL courses. This position is working a schedule, at Downtown, West Campus, East and Livingston County Extension Centers, or, offsite locations as needed.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Education, Special Education, Reading, English, Language Arts, Literacy, Linguistics, TESOL, or comparable area of study documented by degree/course descriptions
Experience teaching adult learners

Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of instructional teaching and/or corporate training experience.
Experience teaching at-risk populations
Experience using educational technology or other technology relevant to the discipline.
