The Technical Careers Business Support will work under the direct supervision and provide administrative support to the Technical Careers Business Manager. The incumbent will support the Technical Careers Business Manager with coordination of the hiring and financial processes for the division. The responsibilities of this position include a wide variety of customer service and clerical duties that focus on divisional success. The successful candidate will participate in and assist with divisional initiatives and perform effectively as a team member of the Technical Careers Division. The desired candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a positive attitude, innovative thinking, and the ability to anticipate needs within the division. Intermediate to advanced technical skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills are crucial, as are the capacity to self-start and manage projects.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and office experience (High School Diploma and two (2) years’ experience in an office setting.

Demonstrated clerical or office experience

Demonstrated customer service experience

Demonstrated experience with an online calendar system, such as Microsoft Outlook, and Outlook calendar.

Demonstrated experience with word processing and spreadsheets.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years’ secretarial or office experience

Experience with Human Resources

Experience with purchase, accounts receivable, or accounts payable
