Job Summary:

Teach Criminal Justice courses to high school junior and senior students on LCC West Campus for the Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (ERESA). This class is held Monday through Friday, morning and afternoon sessions, Fall and Spring semesters, and continuing yearly as enrollment permits. The position will follow the ERESA calendar. Develop curriculum to meet state occupational standards as well as LCC course requirements. Participate regularly on departmental, divisional and ERESA team meetings. Work effectively with other faculty and staff in a rapidly changing team environment. Support and contribute to diversity and student success initiatives. Remain current in subject area and teaching methodologies. Schedule and monitor student field placements in community programs. Courses may be taught online/virtually. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or in a related/relevant field.
Five (5) years minimum experience in the professional field
Two (2) years direct control and custody in a secured facility

Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience with high school students in the criminal justice field.
MDOC certified
