Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the supervision, leadership and management of division programs, and for carrying out tasks, functions and activities essential to creating and providing strong educational programs in health and human services. The associate dean will be responsible to grow the health and human service programs and develop and manage innovative, high quality programs in partnership with medical facilities/institutions in the region. This person provides academic leadership in the development and maintenance of educational health and human services programs and provides leadership, communication, and coordination between the various health and human services programs and support services in conjunction with all areas of the college and community. The associate dean will ensure that program level assessment, quality improvement, and accreditation activities are managed and completed. Fulfill commitments/duties of the Dean in the event of her/his absence. The associate dean reports to the Dean of Health and Human Services.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited school of higher learning

Must have undergraduate education in a health, wellness or human services field related to divisional programs

Significant academic administrative, multidisciplinary experience (i.e., budgeting, curricula design and evaluation)

Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising staff

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching at the college level

Experience with program accreditation process
