Creates, prepares, coordinates and executes library communications employing a variety of means including print, web, email, social media, blogs, digital/physical signage and visual displays to increase awareness of library resources and services. Coordinates programming and oversight of library events. Markets and promotes library resources and services to college constituents. Serves as the central contact for library communications to ensure consistent messaging. Develops relationships with library stakeholders. Collaborates with library staff, academic & service departments, Media Services, and College Communications and Marketing. Provides graphic design support for creating library print, web and multimedia content. Provides survey creation, data collection and analysis support. Assists with library department office functions including internal communications and events. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated work experience
Prior work experience in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
Demonstrated experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphic design tools
Demonstrated experience with written and public speaking communication
Experience using social media channels in a professional setting
Two years of experience with standard design software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Demonstrated experience with HTML and web building tools.
Demonstrated experience in library operations
