Job Summary:

Student employees in Media Creation and Design will assist production staff in completing departmental projects; but, they will also be required to take direction and work independently on their own completing assigned production duties. Work includes but is not limited to the following duties:

• Producer/Director of “Coffee Break” a daily live program on LCCTV and WLNZ.
• Campus event video documentation (both single camera, and multi-camera)
• Campus event audio support
• Production assistant – both studio and field-based
• Video Camera operation – both studio and field-based
• Lighting– both studio and field-based
• Video Graphics development – using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

Must be able to work both as a team and as an individual contributor. Must be a motivated, self-directed worker. This job may include driving, ladder climbing, and/or lifting up to 50 pounds. Must have demonstrated skills in visual composition, visual grammar and be intuitive in the video production medium.

Additional Position Requirements:
• Enrolled as a student in LCC's DMAC curriculum or have equivalent experience.
• Provide samples of video shooting work on the web or USB drive, depicting post-production and composition skills at the time of the interview.

Requirements for LCC Student Employment:

The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters in which they are attending classes as follows:
Enrolled and actively attending the following minimum total LCC credit hours by semester:
     - Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 6.0 credits (taken over 16-week period)
     - Summer Semester = 3.0 credits (taken over 8-week period)
2.00 GPA minimum (unless it is the student's first semester of enrollment at LCC or approval to waive requirement is granted from the Student Employment Coordinator)

Note: International students (i.e. F-1 visa holders w/ valid I-20 issued by LCC) must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements each semester, in order to maintain employment eligibility per United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USICS):
     - Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 12.0 credits (taken over 16-week period)
     - Summer Semester = 3.0 credits (taken over 8-week period)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3.00 GPA or higher
