The Course Management System Technical Specialist is responsible for providing both technical and application support and testing for the Course Management System (CMS). Responsible for providing support and assistance to students and faculty via live chat, phone, service requests, walk-ins and weekly office hours. Perform tasks related to testing new and current CMS tools as well as the CMS monthly updates. Provide testing support with all third party tools to be integrated or currently integrated into the CMS. Provide technical CMS consultation and assistance to students, faculty, staff and the Help Desk. Ability to assist with the development of technical CMS and third party documentation.
Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field or 3 years experience in Information Technology or related field.
Experience troubleshooting technical issues.
Excellent written, oral and electronic communications skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and in team situations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of Course Management Systems.
Experience with Third Party Tools (Kaltura, Webex, Respondus, Google Docs etc.).
