Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.
Adjunct faculty teach courses in Surgical Technology including planning, preparation and delivery of lecture/lab instruction materials at all levels of training. This position will provide instruction for an intercollegiate, collaborative program and is responsible for all teaching formats (face-to-face, hybrid, and online). Faculty members also participate in curriculum development and student advising.
Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology or Associate's Degree and Certificate of Achievement in Surgical Technology from a regionally accredited college or university.
Minimum of 2 years of experience, as a CST, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past 5 years
Certifications / Licenses (must be kept current and provide documents to program)
Current CST credential must be submitted prior to issuance of final offer of employment
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification must be submitted prior to issuance of final offer of employment
Member in good standing with the Association of Surgical Technology (AST) required
