Job Summary:

This student staff position requires coordinating the disbursement, collection, and inventory of all aviation tools and equipment to both students and faculty as needed.

Primary Job Duties:

•  Establish and maintain required consumable levels for each class.
•  Responsible for maintaining Tool Inventory Control.
•  Responsible for ordering supplies as needed and handle/sort consumables inventory.
•  Repair and maintain equipment in accordance with established manufacturer and industry standards.
•  Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following the routine cleaning scheduling.
•  Perform clerical and other office duties as assigned. 

Additional Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in the LCC Aviation Technology Program. The ideal candidate should possess a positive customer service attitude and apply it accordingly to meet the needs of fellow program students and faculty members. Good decision-making skills are required in order to foresee the needs of upcoming classes and maintain adequate supply levels for each. Strong problem solving skills are used to maintain the thousands of parts and complex equipment in an orderly fashion in the tool room. Must be able to closely follow directions, so as to adhere to all safety standards and promote good safety practices throughout the workplace. This student staff position also requires the ability to be conscientious and attentive to details; every product or tool has a place and must be handled in a specific way.

Requirements for LCC Student Employment:

The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students with the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters in which they are attending LCC classes as follows:
Enrolled and actively attending the following minimum LCC credit hours by semester:
     - Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 6.0 credits (taken over 16-week period minimum)
     - Summer Semester = 3.0 credits (taken over 8-week period minimum)
• 2.00 GPA minimum (unless it is the student's first semester of enrollment at LCC or approval to waive requirement is granted from the Student Employment Coordinator)

Note: International students (i.e. F-1 visa holders w/ valid I-20 issued by LCC) must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements each semester, in order to maintain employment eligibility per United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USICS):
     - Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 12.0 credits (taken over 16-week period minimum)
     - Summer Semester = 3.0 credits (taken over 8-week period minimum)
