Job Summary:

The Academic Success Coach supports student achievement and personal growth through individualized coaching, strategic guidance, and access to academic resources. Leveraging data analysis tools, educational software, and communication technologies, the coach identifies student needs and develops targeted strategies to improve retention, persistence, and academic performance.

This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, faculty, and staff. The coach helps students navigate academic challenges, set realistic goals, and stay on track toward graduation. Responsibilities include compiling and analyzing student data, maintaining accurate records, and presenting findings and recommendations in a clear, actionable manner.

The Academic Success Coach also ensures adherence to institutional policies and compliance with ADA requirements, contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and success-oriented learning environment.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

Demonstrated experience in delivering presentations and public speaking, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and fostering inclusive environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

Relevant and progressively responsible experience in recruitment, orientation, academic advising, or other student affairs-related areas.

Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish or Arabic.
