The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students with the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters while actively attending classes at LCC. Student employees in Technical Careers Division will assist with: Student employees will assist with a variety of office responsibilities, contributing to the smooth operation of the division. Their duties will include answering phones, managing emails, and addressing inquiries from prospective and current students, faculty, staff, and the general public. They will offer excellent customer service by providing accurate information about programs, courses, and services, as well as directing individuals to the appropriate resources. Additionally, student employees will assist with general office tasks such as sorting and distributing mail, typing, copying, scanning, and filing documents, ensuring the office remains organized and efficient. They may also be asked to run errands on campus, help faculty, administrators, and staff with day-to-day tasks, and maintain a clean and orderly office environment.
Student employees will play an important role in supporting division-wide initiatives, including maintaining divisional records. Clerical duties such as data entry, preparing reports, and updating course materials will also be part of their responsibilities. In addition, they will manage inventory for office supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are stocked and available for staff and faculty. Student employees will help maintain the confidentiality of faculty, staff, and student records in accordance with privacy and data protection policies. Throughout their role, they will collaborate with team members to complete office-related projects, ultimately helping to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the division. This position offers students an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills, build their resumes, and gain practical experience while pursuing their academic goals.
