The Part-Time Lab Assistant in Electrical Technology will serve as a key role in the Electrical Technology Lab, assisting the instructor of record in delivering instructional content. The assistant will guide students in completing lab projects and assignments, offering necessary support and instruction. They will also provide student performance evaluations as requested by the instructor.
Key responsibilities include preparing the lab by ensuring all required tools and materials are set up for each class, and maintaining a clean and organized environment by inspecting the lab and classroom after each session. The lab assistant will oversee the ordering, inventory, and maintenance of lab supplies, tools, and equipment.

Effective communication and the ability to demonstrate specific technical skills are essential, as the assistant will interact with a diverse student population. Collaboration with students and colleagues is crucial to maintain a safe, productive learning environment. The successful candidate will champion shop safety, possess knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adhere to safe industrial practices.

This role may require evening and weekend availability.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in a related field OR High School Diploma/GED and one or both of the following: 1 year of relevant work experience OR Some college coursework in an Electrical-related field.
