Job Summary:The Occupation & Environmental Safety (OES) department performs critical work supporting the LCC Board Policy on Occupation & Environmental Safety. This position reports to the Director of OES and provides support by helping coordinate and advise on safety and environmental-related activities and applicable policies and procedures. This position requires exceptional communication, organizational, and computer skills and the ability to work independently, think critically, and respond to stressful situations effectively with diplomacy. This position will assist the Director of OES in establishing and maintaining a college-wide occupational & environmental safety culture. This position May serve as the designee for the Director of OES in meetings and workgroups as requested. This position requires an on-campus, in-person presence. Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community. Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process. |
Required Qualifications:Associate Degree in Occupational Safety, Technical Careers, or closely related field. |
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field. |
