The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that the college’s Receiving & Shipping operations maintain alignment with the organizations strategic initiatives related to Resource Management and Fiscal Responsibility. The professional support will continually maintain and develop Receiving & Shipping quality control procedures for incoming, outgoing product shipments, inventory, deliveries, docks, college paper supplies, and daily operations. They will unload incoming deliveries and check shipments against purchase orders. They will be responsible for inspecting and sorting items for adequate delivery locations. They will prepare and process outgoing items with proper delivery services and shipping rates to ensure adherence of specification for the college. The professional support will be responsible for collegewide paper supply, execute monthly reports, process daily work orders, maintain and organize campus loading docks and Receiving locations. They will assist with the collegewide directory for adequate delivery locations and assist with evaluating Receiving & Shipping service contracts and for yearly maintenance of two college vehicles. The professional support will assist with college stakeholders on the fixed and asset management system and supervise student employee (s).
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current Michigan Driver’s License with less than 3 points
Demonstrated knowledge of the Receiving/Shipping or Mail Service Operational areas
Demonstrated experience moving or lifting heavy material of 50 pounds
Demonstrated experience operating electrical forklifts, electrical and/or manual pallet removers or other machinery type operations
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and, Excel), or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Demonstrated leadership experience
Current CDL License
Knowledge of SC Logic or other receiving/shipping software
