Job Summary:

This position provides leadership for LCC’s Job Training Center program activities and responsible for the planning, development and delivery of workforce programs offered through the Community Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) Division. The Coordinator of the Job Training Center will develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with CAMW!, Michigan Rehabilitation Services, and other service providers to determine the educational and student support needs JTC participants. Assist in the development and implementation of courses and marketing plans for the Job Training Center programs, as well as community outreach activities.
Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Significant demonstrated experience in workforce development and/or career development

Significant demonstrated experience in planning, development and delivery of workforce development programs

Demonstrated experience supervising staff

Significant demonstrated experience establishing, managing and growing business and community partnerships.

Experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s and/or higher degree in business and/or education related subject

3 years of demonstrated experience in workforce development and/or career development

3 years of demonstrated experience in planning, development and delivery of workforce development programs

Experience administering grant funded programs

Certification and/or demonstrated experience in career development or related field preferred.
