Job Summary:

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy.  Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

Adjunct faculty teach courses in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography curriculum, including but not limited to vascular, obstetrics & gynecology, and abdomen and small parts. Specifically, vascular sonography, including anatomy & physiology of arterial and venous systems, OB/GYN including anatomy and physiology of the female pelvis, the menstrual and hormonal cycles, disease processes of the pancreas, liver, spleen, GI tract, biliary tree, kidneys, aorta, great vessels, and small parts including breast, thyroid, scrotum, prostate, neonate hips, neonate spine, neonate head, and deep veins. They are also involved in planning, preparation and delivery of lecture/lab instruction materials at all levels of training. Faculty members also participate in curriculum development and student advising.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university

ARDMS Credentialed in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Abdomen

Significant experience in the field of DMS
