Job Summary:

The position provides coordination of the clinical and externship components of the Community Health Services Education Program. The position manages the day to day operation of Community Health Services Education projects with internal and external stakeholders. The position functions as the clinical liaison, between LCC and the clinical affiliate. Provides orientation, support, and mentoring of part-time clinical preceptors, faculty, and students assigned to the site. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Important: Job offer contingent on LCC Board of Trustee approval of FY22 budget.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

Current Certification or Registry in at least one of the following healthcare fields; Nursing, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Billing and Coding or Sterile Processing

Significant Healthcare work experience in at least one of the following healthcare fields; Nursing, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Billing and Coding or Sterile Processing

Significant teaching/training experience in an adult educational setting

Current BLS Certification must be submitted prior to issuance of final offer of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

Three (3) or more years teaching experience at the College or Community College level in Nursing, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Billing and Coding or Sterile Processing or Long Term Care Nurse Aide

Current Nurse Aide Trainer Certification

Demonstrated Experience in administrator/supervisory role
