Under the guidance of the Police Academy Coordinator, the incumbents function as the secondary source of instruction for the Police Academy to support instruction provided by the instructor of record. They assist students in completing lab projects by providing necessary instruction. They provide evaluation of student performance as requested by the instructor of record. They insure that the lab/work areas are set up and prepared with the required equipment and facilities. In addition to the responsibilities listed above, Lab Instructors may be required to perform other duties as assigned in connection with the overall running of the Police Academy.

Required Qualifications:

Associate's Degree

Three (3) years’ experience as a certified MCOLES police officer

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field

Three (3) years’ experience as a certified MCOLES police officer
